This website is provided by Take a view, a trading name of Lightworx Ltd. We do have to collect your personal data when you submit your entries to the competition, but we take issues of privacy very seriously.
You do not need to supply personal data to view the website. However, please be aware that it is possible that cookies will be used to let us monitor how you are using the site, as these will help us make improvements for the future. This will not be linked to any information that will allow you to be personally identified. Your IP address may also be used to examine usage trends, but, again, this will not allow for any identification.
If you decide to enter the competition, you will need to supply personal data. This will be used as an identifier for the images entered and also for payment purposes. On the entry form there will be a section asking if you wish to receive carefully selected marketing from organisations that may be supporting or helping to organise the competition. If you choose to select this option, then your personal data will be passed to the relevant organisations. Once this information has passed on from Take a view, it will be subject to the Privacy Policy of the organisation concerned and Take a view cannot accept any responsibility for any subsequent breaches of privacy that may occur.
Should you choose to receive selected marketing material, but then change your mind, you can opt out at any time by emailing us.
If you decline the offer of receiving selected marketing, then your information will be used by Take a view as an identifier for the images entered and for payment purposes. Take a view may also use the information to inform you specifically, by email, of the launch of the next year’s competition.
Other than as set out above, we shall not rent, sell or share your Personal Data to or with any person outside Take a view and its sister company, Light & Land Ltd, without your consent.
Although the website uses a secure and verified payment system, please remember that other methods of Internet communication, such as emails and messages sent via a website, are not secure unless they are encrypted. We cannot take responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of personal information that is beyond our control.
The Take a view site does have links to other organisations. As soon as you leave the Take a view site, you are recommended to check the Privacy Policy of the link before supplying any personal information. Take a view cannot be responsible for the protection of any data supplied to sites other than its own.
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. In this case, the amended version will be published on our website.
